Blessy

How it works

The ritual, from dusk to dawn

Blessy is a short, physical ritual repeated every morning until it becomes who you are. Here is exactly what happens — and what never does.

The night before

It begins when you set the alarm

A good morning is decided the evening before. Blessy keeps that decision small and calm.

Choose your dawn

Pick the time you truly want to rise and the days your routine repeats. Blessy's setup quiz suggests a realistic target based on how you actually sleep — no heroics on day one.

Pick a score

Choose one of 21 original scores composed for waking — from the bright bells of Dawn Chimes to the low warmth of Green Pastures. Preview them all; change anytime.

Close the night well

When your streak is alive and an alarm awaits, Blessy sends one gentle reminder at 9:30 pm. Nothing else — no badges, no guilt, no marketing.

At dawn

Four minutes that change the day

From the first ring to the last word of the verse — the whole ritual, in order.

1

The alarm rings — for real

Blessy uses AlarmKit, Apple's framework for true alarms, so it rings at full presence even in Silent mode or a Focus. The screen shows the time, your label, and one instruction: complete your prayer to turn off your alarm.

2

You sit up and join your hands

Prop your iPhone or hold it so the front camera can see you. The moment your hands join, the sound softens and dawn light begins to climb the border of the camera card, clockwise from the top. Movement, posture, attention — your body learns the night is over.

3

You hold the posture, and breathe

Ten calm seconds of held prayer by default — you choose the length for each alarm. Lose the posture and the light waits for you — no penalty, no restart from zero. The screen stays awake with you; the camera processes everything on-device and records nothing.

4

The verse arrives

The alarm dissolves into the day's verse — one of 365, chosen for the date and leaning toward the theme you've asked for: faith, hope, gratitude, anxiety, forgiveness. You read, you say amen, and your streak grows by one.

What never happens

Strict with mornings. Gentle with you.

The rules Blessy holds itself to, no matter what.

The camera sees, then forgets

Posture detection runs frame-by-frame on your iPhone using Apple's vision frameworks. No image is recorded, stored or transmitted — ever.

No account. No servers.

There is nothing to sign into and nowhere your data could go. Your streak backs up to your personal iCloud, unreadable by us.

Flexible when life isn't

Kneeling, sitting, bowed — calibration learns your way of praying. Camera unavailable? Finish the ritual without it. The goal is prayer, not performance.

Grace is in the mechanics

Miss a single morning after a faithful stretch and grace covers it. Blessy is strict about waking you and merciful about being human.

Still wondering

Common questions about the ritual

Does the alarm really ring if my iPhone is on Silent?

Yes. Blessy schedules real system alarms through Apple's AlarmKit — the same machinery as the built-in Clock app. They ring at full presence even in Silent mode and during Focus, so your morning never slips by unnoticed.

Where's the snooze button?

Off by default, on purpose. Blessy believes the morning is won at the first call. If you truly want one, you can enable snooze for any alarm in its settings — but we suggest leaving it off.

Can I stop the alarm without praying?

By default, no — prayer is the only way to end it, and that is the point. There is an optional setting that adds a discreet stop button during every alarm, but any day you use it, your streak ends. We suggest leaving it off.

What if I can't hold the posture some morning?

Blessy is flexible where it matters: detection adapts to kneeling, sitting or bowed postures, and if the camera is unavailable you can finish the ritual without it. The goal is prayer, not performance.
