FAQ
Ask us anything
Straight answers about the alarm, the camera, your privacy and your subscription. If something is missing, write to us — a person reads every message.
The alarm
Does the alarm really ring if my iPhone is on Silent?
Yes. Blessy schedules real system alarms through Apple's AlarmKit — the same machinery as the built-in Clock app. They ring at full presence even in Silent mode and during Focus, so your morning never slips by unnoticed.
Where's the snooze button?
Off by default, on purpose. Blessy believes the morning is won at the first call. If you truly want one, you can enable snooze for any alarm in its settings — but we suggest leaving it off.
Can I stop the alarm without praying?
By default, no — prayer is the only way to end it, and that is the point. There is an optional setting that adds a discreet stop button during every alarm, but any day you use it, your streak ends. We suggest leaving it off.
What if I can't hold the posture some morning?
Blessy is flexible where it matters: detection adapts to kneeling, sitting or bowed postures, and if the camera is unavailable you can finish the ritual without it. The goal is prayer, not performance.
Can I choose the alarm sound?
Yes — Blessy ships with 21 original scores composed for dawn, from Aurora and Canticle to Harp of Dawn and Green Pastures. Warm instruments, recorded to wake you gently and firmly. Never a siren.
Camera & privacy
Why does Blessy need the camera?
Only to recognize your prayer posture — joined hands — so the alarm can end in prayer instead of a tap. The front camera runs only while you dismiss the alarm, and everything is processed on your iPhone with Apple's on-device vision frameworks.
Is any photo or video ever recorded?
Never. No image is recorded, stored or transmitted — not to us, not to anyone. Detection happens frame-by-frame on the device and is discarded immediately. There are no servers to send anything to.
Do I need an account?
No. Blessy has no accounts, no passwords and no servers of ours. Your alarms, streak, answers and signature live on your iPhone. If you seal your commitment, your streak and profile are backed up to your personal iCloud, which we cannot access.
Does Blessy track me or use analytics?
No behavioral analytics, no advertising data, no trackers, no selling or sharing of data. The full privacy policy is one page — because there is almost nothing to disclose.
What happens to my data if I delete the app?
Deleting Blessy deletes your local data with it. Your iCloud backup (streak and profile) stays in your personal iCloud until you remove it in iOS Settings, and never becomes accessible to us. See the Delete my data page for step-by-step instructions.
Subscription & pricing
How much does Blessy cost?
Blessy Premium starts with a 7-day free trial on the annual plan — full access from the first morning. After the trial it becomes a paid subscription, billed by Apple in your local currency; a weekly plan is available as a lighter entry. Exact prices are always shown in the app before you commit.
Will I be reminded before the trial ends?
Yes. Blessy schedules a local notification the day before your free trial converts, so the decision is always yours. You can cancel in seconds at any time.
How do I cancel?
Subscriptions are managed entirely by Apple: open Settings → your name → Subscriptions → Blessy → Cancel. Canceling during the trial means you pay nothing. Your streak and data stay on your iPhone either way.
Can I get a refund?
Refunds for App Store purchases are handled by Apple. Go to reportaproblem.apple.com, sign in with your Apple Account, and request a refund for Blessy. Apple usually answers within 48 hours. If anything went wrong on our side, write to us and we'll help.
Is there a family plan or one-time purchase?
Not yet. Today Blessy offers an annual plan (with the free trial) and a weekly plan. If demand grows, lifetime and family options are on the table — tell us on the contact page if you'd want one.
Everyday use
Does Blessy work offline?
Completely. Alarms, posture detection, verses, streaks and widgets all run on-device with no connection needed. The only moment the network matters is subscribing — that's Apple's checkout, not ours.
Which notifications will I get?
At most three kinds, all local and all in your control: the alarm itself, one gentle streak reminder at 9:30 pm when your streak is alive and an alarm awaits tomorrow, and a heads-up before your free trial ends. Blessy never sends marketing notifications.
What is a grace day?
Life happens. When you miss a single morning after a faithful stretch, grace covers it and your streak lives on — you'll see it honestly labeled in your journey. Miss two in a row and the streak ends, ready for a new beginning.
What iPhone do I need?
Blessy requires an iPhone running iOS 26 or later — it is built on AlarmKit, Apple's framework for real alarms, introduced with iOS 26. It speaks English and Spanish.
Does it drain my battery?
No. The camera runs only during the seconds you dismiss the alarm. The rest of Blessy is an ordinary, quiet iOS app — no background tracking, no location, no constant processing.
Faith
Which Bible translation does Blessy use?
Verses are curated per language from trusted public-domain translations — in English and Spanish — chosen for clarity when read half-awake, one for each day of the year across themes like faith, hope, gratitude and anxiety.
Is Blessy tied to a specific denomination?
No. Blessy is a Christian app in the broadest sense: it helps you wake up and pray. How you pray — kneeling, seated, bowed, silent or aloud — is between you and God.
Isn't turning prayer into a streak… gamification?
We hold the same worry, which is why Blessy has no points, coins or leaderboards. The streak is simply a record of faithfulness — like a journal — and grace is built into it. The reward for praying is the prayer.
Can Blessy see or hear my prayers?
No. Blessy detects a posture, not words. Nothing is recorded, nothing is transmitted, and there are no servers. Your prayer is between you and God — that line is written into the product.
