Features
Small app. Deep convictions.
Blessy does one thing — it turns your wake-up into prayer — and every feature exists to protect that moment.
The alarm
An alarm that means it
Most alarm apps send notifications and hope. Blessy schedules real system alarms through Apple's AlarmKit — the same machinery as the built-in Clock.
Rings even in Silent mode
Silent switch on, Focus enabled, volume down — your alarm still arrives at full presence. If it matters enough to schedule, it matters enough to ring.
21 scores composed for dawn
Aurora, Canticle, Dawn Chorus, Harp of Dawn, Green Pastures… original instrumental scores on warm, felt-like timbres — designed to wake you gently and firmly, never with a siren.
Routines, not one-offs
Choose the days your routine repeats and the time you actually want to rise. Blessy suggests a realistic target from your own answers, then holds you to it.
No snooze — by conviction
Snooze exists in settings, off by default, with an honest warning: the morning is won at the first call. Blessy will never nudge you toward five more minutes.
The ritual
Turned off by prayer alone
The heart of Blessy: the alarm ends when you join your hands. A conscious, physical act — movement, posture and attention that tell your brain the night is over.
Joined-hands detection
The front camera recognizes your prayer posture while dawn light climbs the frame of the camera card. Lose the posture, and the light waits until your hands find each other again.
On-device, always
Detection runs entirely on your iPhone with Apple's vision frameworks. No image is ever recorded, stored or transmitted. There is no server it could even go to.
Calibrated to how you pray
Kneeling, sitting or bowed — a one-time calibration learns your posture in seconds. Can't use the camera some morning? Finish the ritual without it.
The Word before the world
The instant your prayer completes, the day's verse appears — chosen for that date, leaning toward the theme your heart needs. Scripture before notifications, every single day.
The journey
Faithfulness, made visible
No points, no leaderboards. Just an honest record of mornings given to God — and mercy built into the mechanics.
A streak worth protecting
Every completed morning extends your streak. The evening reminder and the streak-at-stake framing turn 'I should pray more' into 'I have 40 dawns to defend.'
Grace days
Miss one morning after a faithful stretch and grace covers it — your streak lives on, honestly labeled. Blessy models the mercy it hopes to teach.
Milestones that mean something
First Dawn. Faithful Week. A Hundred Dawns. A Year in Prayer. Levels from Walker to Watchman of the Dawn mark seasons of quiet consistency, not bursts of streaks.
Widgets that keep watch
Home Screen widgets show your streak and next alarm at a glance — a small vow sitting beside your other apps.
The foundation
Quiet engineering underneath
Blessy is deliberately small, private and dependable — the kind of app you can trust with the first minutes of your day.
No accounts. No servers. No trackers.
Nothing to sign up for, nothing to leak. Your answers, alarms, streak and signature never leave your iPhone. The privacy policy fits on one page because there is almost nothing to disclose.
Your iCloud, not our cloud
Seal your commitment and your streak and profile are backed up to your personal iCloud key-value store — under your Apple Account, unreadable by us, restored automatically on a new iPhone.
English y español
Interface, verses, sounds and support — fully bilingual. Widgets follow your iPhone's language automatically.
Works offline, sips battery
Alarms, detection, verses and streaks all run without a connection. The camera runs only for the seconds you pray; the rest of the time Blessy simply waits for dawn.
